Description of Lecture:
This presentation was given live via satellite from Jamaica. Broad issues pertaining to healthcare structure in developing countries are presented.
Target Audience:
This lecture is targeted for surgery faculty, residents, and students, as well as any medical or allied health professional having an interest in new developments, new techniques, and current research in the field of surgery.
Learning Objectives:
  • Attendees will be able to identify and discuss international issues relative to children's health, as well as issues relative to building a health care for a developing country.
Description of Media:
Media consist of approximately 45-60 minutes of digital audio and video captured from the live event and streamed using Realmedia, accompanied by the audiovisual materials from the live event. An evaluation questionnaire, a post-test consisting of 5 questions, and an opportunity to post questions to the presentor are included.
